PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication method making authentication at high speed, and a content distribution method using the same.;SOLUTION: An authentication processor 1 includes: an authentication information acquisition section 2 for acquiring authentication information including user authentication information from a user terminal, etc., and service information, etc.; an authentication decision section 3 for deciding authentication from the user authentication information; and an authentication processing control section 4 for controlling the authentication information acquisition section 2 and the authentication decision section 3. The above authentication processing controller 4 controls the authentication information acquisition section 2 and the authentication decision section 3 using the high-accuracy clock.
