PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a driving device of an image display device which can improve the response speed of pixels without apparently lowering the display quality of a picture displayed on respective pixels and has simple constitution.;SOLUTION: A noise adding circuit 34 adds noise data to 8-bit video data inputted to an input terminal T1, and a discarding circuit 36 discards low-order bits, so that 6-bit video data are outputted. THe 6-bit video data are stored in a frame memory 31 until the frame right after the next frame, and a previous frame gradation correcting circuit 37 corrects and outputs video data of a previous frame so that the video data of the previous frame approximate video data of the frame right before the previous frame when necessary. Further, a modulation processing part 33 corrects the video data of the current frame to emphasize gradation transition from the video signal of the previous frame that the previous frame gradation correcting circuit 37 outputs.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
