PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for efficiently eliminating the influences of not only optical cross talk but also electric cross talk in an optical transmitter/receiver.;SOLUTION: The electric cross talk is eliminated by converting a signal received from an optical transmission path into a pair of differential signals and eliminating an in-phase component from the differential signals by performing differential amplification of the differential signal. An optical cross talk correction signal is generated by adjusting the amplitude, phase and frequency characteristics of a transmission signal or its negative-phase signal, wherein adjustment is performed so that the waveform of the optical cross talk correction signal becomes almost equal to the optical cross talk component of the received signal to which the differential amplification is performed, and the optical cross talk component is offset by the optical cross talk correction signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
