PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device with an encrypted program that is configured to prevent the ready external leakage of an encryption method and prevents the falsification of the encrypted program, and a program therefor. PSOLUTION: An apparatus subject to program falsification is provided with a computer with a program falsification detection function having an external ROM for storing a falsification detection code and an encrypted program and a boot ROM for storing an apparatus boot program. The boot ROM stores a decryption program. A CPU executes the decryption program to decrypt the encrypted program to a decrypted program, and compares operation results of predetermined operations executed on the generated decrypted program with the falsification detection code to determine whether the encrypted program has been falsified.
