COMPLEX TYPE VARIABLE FREQUENCY SILENCING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex type variable frequency silencing system for silencing noise (rotation order component) varying in frequency in synchronism with engine speed and for simultaneously silencing noise (gas column resonance) generated always at a constant frequency.;SOLUTION: The complex type variable frequency silencing system 10 selectively silences a noise frequency desired according to a rotation speed in engine intake system noise generated and varying in accordance with the vehicle engine speed by an engine speed detection device 20, a computation device 30 and a variable frequency resonance type resonator device 40. The variable frequency resonance type resonator device 40 has (a) a frequency variable resonator 41 comprising a resonant section 42, a fixed neck wall 43 and a frequency fixed resonator 44 movable with respect to the fixed neck wall, (b) a drive actuator 45 for driving the frequency fixed resonator 44 and (c) a position detection section 46 for detecting a position of the frequency fixed resonator 44.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
