VARIABLE VALVE SYSTEM OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, ITS LIFT ADJUSTING DEVICE AND LIFT ADJUSTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate adjusting work of lift characteristics of a variable valve system 1 and to improve its precision.;SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine is furnished with the variable valve system 1 to vary the lift characteristics of intake valves of a plurality of cylinders in accordance with a change of a rotating position of a control shaft 12. The control shaft 12 is constituted by dividing itself into a plurality of control shaft divided bodies 21A, 21B in correspondence with each of the cylinders. The lift characteristics of each of the cylinders are adjusted by adjusting a rotating angle of each of the control shaft divided bodies 21A, 21B toward a standard value by rotating angle adjustment devices 25A, 25B in accordance with measured values of the lift characteristics by lift measurement devices 26A, 26B while rotating a driving shaft 2 by a driving shaft rotation device 27.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
