PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-core fiber collimator and an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer which are excellent in optical characteristics and whose optical characteristics are not changed even when the temperature of the air changes, a manufacturing method with which the two-core fiber collimator can be manufactured at a low cost and a manufacturing apparatus of the two-core fiber collimator which can heat a wide range uniformly and can carry out fusion splicing of two primary coated optical fibers simultaneously. PSOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the two-core fiber collimator is configured to carry out the fusion splicing of two optical fibers 3 to a lens 4 simultaneously by irradiating the splicing face of the two optical fibers 3 and the lens 4 with a laser beam 2 from two directions. The two-core fiber collimator is configured so that the spacing of splicing end faces 31 of two optical fibers 3 is made to be 1m and to be equal to or less than the radius of the optical fiber 3 and the splicing end faces 31 are connected near the center axis of the lens 4.
