METHOD FOR JOINING TITANIUM CLAD STEEL WITH STAINLESS CLAD STEEL OR TITANIUM CLAD STEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method between a titanium clad steel and a stainless clad steel or between titanium clad steels.;SOLUTION: In joining a stainless clad steel in which a stainless steel layer is provided on the surface of a base material, with a titanium three-layer clad steel in which a base material, a stainless steel layer and a titanium layer are laminated in this order and in which the stainless steel layer is exposed on the outer surface in the outer periphery, the base material of the stainless clad steel and that of the titanium three-layer clad steel are joined together by overlaying and then, using a stainless steel, cladding by welding is performed on this overlaying weld zone. Thus, this weld zone is joined to both stainless steel layers of the stainless clad steel and the titanium three-layer clad steel, and the overlaying weld zone between the two base materials are simultaneously covered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
