PRIMER SET FOR IDENTIFYING GENE MSR-1 RESISTANT TO PSEUDAULACASPIS PENTAGONA TARGIONI OF THEA SINENSIS, METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING GENE MSR-1 USING THE SAME PRIMER SET AND POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION PRODUCT OBTAINED BY THE SAME METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply identifying the resistance to Pseudaulacaspis pentagona Targioni in a short time utilizing genetic information about the resistance.;SOLUTION: A primer set for identifying the presence or absence of a gene MSR-1 resistant to the Pseudaulacaspis pentagona Targioni of Thea sinensis by a PCR (a polymerase chain reaction) using the genomic DNA of the Thea sinensis as a template is provided. The method for identifying the presence or absence of the gene MSR-1 resistant to the Pseudaulacaspis pentagona Targioni comprises carrying out the PCR with the primer set using the genomic DNA of the Thea sinensis as the template and identifying the presence or absence of an RAPD (random amplified polymorphic DNA) marker or an e-RAPD marker (emphasized-RAPD marker) linking to the gene MSR-1 resistant to the Pseudaulacaspis pentagona Targioni of the Thea sinensis. A PCR product is obtained by carrying out the PCR with the primer set using the genomic DNA of the Thea sinensis as the template and used as the RAPD marker or e-RAPD marker linking to the MSR-1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
