PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rational bending condition with a small burden.;SOLUTION: Pipe data and bending condition data are input in a computer and stored (S10 and S20). The analysis by a finite element method is performed by utilizing the input pipe data and the bending condition data, and the shape data before pressing release and the shape data after pressing release are obtained (S30 and S32). A pipe of the shape before the pressing release (the reference bending shape) and a pipe of the shape after the pressing release are divided into a large number of unit areas to calculate the deviation for the corresponding unit area (the unit deviation) (S40). The total of the unit deviations (the total deviation) is calculated (S42). A new bending condition is obtained on the basis of the total deviation (S50).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
