PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an involute serration in a hollow shaft with which the involute serration onto the outer peripheral surface of the hollow shaft can be formed with a press-processing while holding the dimensional precision and the improvement of the productivity and the reduction of the producing cost can be obtained.;SOLUTION: A mandrel 16 having the outer diameter of almost the same diameter as the inner diameter of the hollow shaft 18 as a work, is disposed as the same axis in the center round hole 9a of a die 9 for forming tool teeth composed of an involute teeth-shape on the peripheral surface of the center round hole 9a, and the serration composed of the involute teeth-shape on the outer peripheral surface of the hollow shaft 18 is formed by pushing the hollow shaft 18 into the annular gap between the center round hole 9a of the die 9 and the mandrel 16 from the tip end part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
