METHOD FOR FLAT HEMMING ALUMINUM ALLOY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat hemming method of an aluminum alloy panel by which a crack in a bent part and the dimensional accuracy of the visible outline of the bent part are compatible even when the bend radius in the bent part is small.;SOLUTION: After forming a first bent part by bending the outer edge part of a panel by applying force in the direction orthogonally crossed with the panel 1 to the outer edge part of the aluminum allot panel 1, the outer edge part 1a of the panel is further bent to the inside of the panel 1 so that a flat part 1c of the panel inside this first bent part 1b becomes a new bent part 1c by applying force from the same direction as the direction when this first bent part 1b is formed while pressing the flat part 1c of the panel in the vicinity of this first bent part. After that, the flat hemming part is formed by further bending the outer edge part 1a to approximately 180° in the inside of the panel 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
