PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion correction system of a projection image which can deal with various shape screen by a simple user interface with a small memory capacity. PSOLUTION: A computer 4 calculates the shape of a graphic form after its deformation by an approximate equation (parabolic type) preset to correct the distortion of a projected image in association with the shape of the projecting area of a columnar screen 1, a variable for deformation in a lateral direction and a variable for deformation in a longitudinal direction to be input by the user interface to deform the approximate equation or an image distortion, such as an optical center, linearity, an amplitude, a position, etc., various type parameters (variable values) necessary for an optical correction.
