OIL IN WATER TYPE LIGHT-PROTECTING EMULSION CONTAINING GEMINI TYPE SURFACTANT AND ASSOCIATIVE POLYMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light-protecting composition for protecting skin and/or hair from UV light, obtained by incorporating a nano pigment based on a metal oxide in an oil in water type liquid phase obtained by emulsifying with a gemini type surfactant in the presence of an associative polymer, and a method for preparing such the composition for protecting the light.;SOLUTION: This light-protecting composition contains an oil in water type emulsion emulsified by using at least one dimeric surfactant having two surfactant units which may be the same or different as a liquid phase and each of which consists of a hydrophilic head part and a hydrophobic tail part and is joined with each other through the hydrophilic head parts by a spacer group, a light-protecting system capable of blocking the UV light and containing at least one inorganic nano pigment based on the metal oxide, and in the case may be, at least one organic, preferably water soluble or liposoluble UV-A and/or UV-B blocking agent and at least one associative polymer having at least one aliphatic chain.
