PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide effective IP address allocation and a detecting method of IP address duplicating, by defining many packet formats and tables for detecting duplicating of IP addresses in a NET environment and providing communication mechanism between terminals by the definition.;SOLUTION: A network device for detecting IP addresses which are overlapped in mobile ad hoc network environment is provided with a database part which stores device information about each terminal and a corresponding IP address to the device information, an IP address duplicating detection part which generates an identifier which differentiates the mobile ad hoc network by using the device information and the IP address and processes a predetermined packet for detecting the duplicating of IP addresses, and a packet transceiver part which transmits and receives the predetermined packet for duplicating the detection of a Hello packet or the IP address which contain the identifier.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
