PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device for a small-sized vessel capable of enhancing the straight running characteristic of the vessel.;SOLUTION: The power steering device for a small-sized vessel is composed of an outboard motor body 6 installed in the rear of the hull rotatably to the left and right relative to the hull, a steering mechanism 4 to rotate the outboard motor in compliance with the steering operation of a steering wheel mounted at a driver seat, a torque sensor 35 to sense the steering torque of the steering wheel, an assisting means 5 to make power assisting of the steering mechanism at least in the steer operating direction in conformity to the sensing signal of the torque sensor, and a controller ECU to take in the sensing signal of the torque sensor, calculate, and emit a current for driving the assisting means, wherein the controller corrects the current to be fed to the assisting means so as to cancel the steering torque generated in accordance with the rotation of a screw to propel the small-sized vessel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
