PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the distance to a target with ease and precision in a simple structure.;SOLUTION: A radar system 100 performs a sending operation which transmits a modulated wave signal to a target, and a receiving operation which receives the modulated wave signal reflected from the target by time sharing with a switch period. A receiving sensitivity generation part 104 generates the receiving sensitivity of the output signal from a receiving part 102. A timing changing part 105 changes the operation timing of transmitting and receiving operation by which time sharing is carried out so that a null point may be generated. Whenever a relative delay time calculation part 106 changes operation timing, it computes relative delay time τ showing the relative time difference of a sending operation and a receiving operation. A relative delay time extraction part 109 extracts a relative delay time τs when a null point is generated.
