PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select easily a charge of powder makeup by estimating a color (namely, flesh color after a makeup) of the skin after an application by using a formula, without actually applying charges of powder makeup, such as foundation, to skin.;SOLUTION: When a spectral reflectance (bare skin color) of the bare skin and a spectral reflectance (appearance color) of the surface of the charge of makeup are measured, an i-th wavelength is expressed as λi, the bare skin color is expressed as s(λi), the appearance color is expressed as fn (λi) and the skin color after the charge of makeup (application color) is expressed as t(λi). The application color to the bare skin of the charge of makeup is estimated by computing from the formula of t (application color)=axs(bare skin color)+bxf (appearance color), (however, a+b≈1), multiplying the spectral reflectance (bare skin color) of the bare skin and the spectral reflectance (appearance color) of the surface of the charge of makeup respectively by coefficients a and b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
