PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate arrangement of images while paying attention to the significance thereof.;SOLUTION: The significance imparting device comprises: a section 11 for storing an image file; a section 12 for reading out the stored image file and displaying image data included therein; a section 13 for directing print of that image data; a section 14 for transferring that image data; a section 15 for editing that image data; a section 16 for checking the time when that image data is displayed; a section 17 for calculating and holding the cumulative value of these file manipulations; a significance decision rule storage section 18 for storing a rule determining a file manipulation significance index based on the cumulative value; and a file manipulation significance creating section 19 for creating a file manipulation significance index with reference to the rule.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
