STEEL PIPE COLUMN REINFORCING METHOD AND AUXILIARY TOOL FOR ARRANGING REINFORCEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe column reinforcing method for easily and economically increasing the strength of an existing steel pipe column, and to provide an auxiliary tool for arranging reinforcements.;SOLUTION: According to the method, a plurality of bar members are inserted into the steel pipe column to be reinforced from a vertically lower-side aperture out of two apertures formed in two regions of a side surface of the steel pipe column, and then the auxiliary tool for arranging the reinforcements is inserted into a hollow portion of the column. The auxiliary tool is formed of a plurality of penetration portions which allow penetration of the inserted bar members therein, respectively, and a plurality of expandable rods which are expandable in a direction perpendicular to a penetration surface defined by the penetration portions. Then the auxiliary tool is inserted into the hollow portion of the column with the rods assuming a contractive position. Further by using reinforcement suspension jigs which function to suspend the bar members by allowing wires fastened to upper ends of the respective bar members to pierce the same, the bar members are suspended in the hollow portion, and the location of the auxiliary tool for arranging the reinforcements is fixed by extending the rods of thereof until front ends of the respective rods abut on an inner wall surface of the steel pipe column.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
