PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a constraint to the kinds of usable ink and the ink installing-position with an ink discharging device.;SOLUTION: The discharge controlling device 1 capable of controlling two or more kinds of head units 3 (1 to N) which differ in the combination of an ink cartridge 3B (for example, kinds of ink and ink arrangement) is provided. For this purpose, the discharging control section 1 is provided with a discrimination section 1A performing the task of discriminating the kinds of the head units 3 installed in the ink discharging device 2 and a mode selection section 1B performing the task of selecting the printing mode suitable for the discriminated head units 3 (1 to N).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
