APPARATUS FOR COMPACTING TRACK BY VIBRATION, AND TRACK COMPACTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track compacting apparatus which can perform compaction only by vibrations, the weight of which can be wholly reduced and which can compact the ballast of the whole of one sleeper at a time, and a track compacting method.;SOLUTION: This track compacting apparatus, which is mounted on a working machine traveling on the track, compacts the ballast of the track. The track compacting apparatus is equipped with a vibration generating part 8 which is installed in a base plate 3, a connection part 9 for being mounted on the working machine, and a plurality of pawls 6 which are arranged in such a manner as to be suspended from the base plate 3. The track compacting apparatus vibrates the pawls 6 via the base plate 3 by the vibrations of the vibration generating part 8, and vibrates the ballast by inserting the pawls 6 into the ballast, and compacts the ballast by the vibrations.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
