PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel optically active fluoroalkylpolysilane capable of exhibiting a novel function which has not been found heretofore.;SOLUTION: This optically active fluoroalkyl polysilane has a main chain constituted of silicons and side chains having a fluoroalkyl group in which at least one of the hydrogen atoms present in an alkyl group having at least one carbon atom is substituted with one fluorine atom and a hydrocarbon group having at least one carbon atom, at least one hydrogen atom, and an optical active site of an S-configuration or an R-configuration.
