PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller for a thrust needle bearing and a thrust needle bearing using the same capable of eliminating acoustic fault by elaborating the roller to keep accuracy of the roller within a intended range.;SOLUTION: Since roundness of a raceway surface is 1.5μm or less in section in a radial direction and a straight line part in parallel with an axial line is included in a section in an axial direction when crowning is applied at least from one end surface over the raceway surface in the roller for the thrust needle bearing, rolling of the roller is stabilized and noise can be kept low by adjustment of roundness.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
