PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical characteristics interpolation method which obtains an interpolated value of optical characteristics for an arbitrary object distance which is closer to an actual measured value in a short time and easily on the basis of optical characteristics for a plurality of object distances which have been measured by a measurement apparatus, simulation, or the like, a glasses wearing simulation image processing method and a lens evaluation method using the interpolation method, and apparatuses for realizing the methods. PSOLUTION: The optical characteristics interpolation method for a glasses lens comprises calculation processing which calculates the magnitude and an angle of direction of astigmatism on object distances of at least two points by measurement, simulation, or the like, resolution processing which resolves the calculated astigmatism into two astigmatism components having different angle of direction, interpolation processing which interpolates between the at least two points for each astigmatism component, and composition processing which determines an interpolated value of astigmatism for an object distance other than the at least two points by composing each astigmatism component interpolated by the interpolation processing.
