PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyion association product which is non-poisonous, has excellent biocompatibility, has poly(ethyloxazoline) having both hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity in the structure, and can stably hold biological substances, and to provide a biological substance carrier comprising the association product.;SOLUTION: This polyion association product comprises a block copolymer having a cationic poly(ethyleneimine) block and a poly(ethyloxazoline) block, and an anionic biological substance, wherein the cationic poly(ethyleneimine) block and the poly(ethyloxazoline) block in the block copolymer are ionically bound to each other. The biological substance carrier comprises the association product.
