PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double post guide type horizontal band sawing machine optimizing the clearance between a guide post and a guide hole, and a method of adjusting the pitch between cutting head guides in the horizontal band sawing machine.;SOLUTION: The double post guide type horizontal band sawing machine is equipped with a cutting head 7 having a means for band saw blade tension adjustment and a pair of guide posts 5l, 5r on the driving side and driven side guiding the cutting head up and down. A cylindrical guide part 9r on the side with a cutting head driving wheel 13 is provided with a metal bearing slidably engaging with the guide post 5r. A cylindrical guide part 9l on the driven wheel side of the cutting head 7 is provided with an eccentric sleeve slidably engaging with the guide post 51 on the driven wheel side. The distance between the center of the cylindrical guide 9r on the driving wheel side and that of the cylindrical guide 9l on the driven wheel side can be adjusted by the rotation of the eccentric sleeve.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
