PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sintered high speed steel which is high in hardness and low in attackability to a mating member and in addition, is excellent in dimensional accuracy, a method for manufacturing the same, and sliding components using such sintered high speed steel.;SOLUTION: The sintered high speed steel is subjected to quenching by cooling at a rate of 0.3 to 3.5°C/sec, more preferably 0.3 to 2.0°C/sec at the time of cooling after sintering and by controlling of the cooling rate, the sintered high speed steel having little thermal strain, little amount of residual austenite and Rockwell hardness of HRC 20 to 45 is manufactured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
