PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for preventing an article(s) from being left behind by which the presence of the article(s) is ensured before a user leaves a user's home and an umbrella is arranged without fail on a rainy day or a strong ultraviolet ray-shining day.;SOLUTION: Upon setting article information being information indicative of at least one or more articles and desired time for receiving retrieval result information indicative of the desired time receiving information on a retrieval result by a user, an input/output terminal transmits setting information formed by a combination of the article information and the desired time for receiving the retrieval result information to a management terminal. The management terminal verifies the article information received from the input/output terminal with IC tag totalization information received from an IC tag totalizing device based on the desired time for receiving the retrieval result information received from the input/output terminal, and transmits verification results as retrieval result information to the input/output terminal.
