PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new traffic congestion prediction program and a navigation program using the same, which can always precisely predict a time ahead in a traffic congestion condition changing in every moment, and realize exact navigation based on the predicted traffic congestion information.;SOLUTION: The traffic prediction program functions on a computer for predicting a traffic condition. The computer includes a current traffic congestion information input means for inputting current traffic congestion information at the current time at a non prescribed place; a similarity calculation means for calculating similarity between the input current traffic congestion information and each of a plurality of previously stored past traffic congestion information for the same time as the current time at the place; and a traffic congestion prediction means for deeming past traffic information, which is for a predetermined time ahead of the time following the past traffic information having the highest similarity in the calculation, as predicted traffic congestion information at the place.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
