PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of using one sash frame both in single glass panel and double glazing panels in common, and an opening mechanism having the sash frame constructed by the method.;SOLUTION: The opening mechanism comprises a frame formed with lateral upper and lower frames and vertical left and right frames, and a sliding door installed within the frame and provided with the glass panel and a supporting piece 77a supporting the glass panel. The glass panel is supported by a support piece via a sealing member from at least one side surface of the glass panel. The support piece has a continuous groove 210 in a position about equally distant from the glass plate surface. When a single glass panel is used, the support piece is used as it is, but when double glazing panels are used, the support piece has its tip at the glazing panel side removed along the groove.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
