PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing the production of StAR binding protein regulating the function of StAR protein through binding to the StAR protein as a cholesterol transport promoting factor, and to introduce apoptosis specifically into a cancer cell by affecting the function. PSOLUTION: The method comprises the following practice: A protein interacting with the StAR protein is found, an RNA fragment homologous to a genetic sequence specific to the StAR binding protein(SBP) is synthesized and introduced into a cancer cell.
