PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a blood lipid-depressing agent hardly having side effects and effective for depressing the blood lipid.;SOLUTION: At least one of a fruit, a stem, a leaf or a root of Prinsepia utilis which is a plant of Rosaceae peculiar to the back country of Sichuan province is extracted by using a solvent such as petroleum ether. The extract of the Prinsepia utilis extracted thereby contains an unsaturated fatty acid and a fat-soluble vitamin, and when the extract as it is, concentrated or formed into a powder, or the like, is administered, effects of ameliorating hyperlipemia are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
