PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement ultrasonic inspection simulation at a high speed, by placing an analyzed region of finite elements on the periphery of a tip at which ultrasonic pulses move and following and analyzing movement of the ultrasonic pulses.;SOLUTION: An ultrasonic crack detection simulating system has a means S1 of creating a model of an object subject to an ultrasonic inspection, a means S2 of defining a material physical properties for the region of the target model of the inspection, a definition/analysis means S3 for defining the incident wave inputted to the target model of the inspection, a simulation time and an interval for outputting the result of the simulation and implementing the ultrasonic travel simulation, using finite element method and a means S4 for displaying the target model of the inspection and an analysis result by the analysis means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
