PSOLUTION: In the document reading apparatus which includes a light source for irradiating a document with a plurality of lights of colors while sequentially switching them, an image sensor for outputting a signal corresponding to a quantity of a light reflected by the document, and a signal input section to which the signal outputted from the image sensor is inputted, and in which the document is irradiated by emitting the light source, the signal for each color is outputted from the image sensor and the document is read by making the signal in the plurality of colored lights inputted to the signal input section corresponding to one pixel, the signal input section is characterized by amplifying the signal with a predetermined amplification rate for each color.
