PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for partial-chemical-modifying a microchannel inner surface, and various kinds of multiphase flow operations using the microchannel structure obtained by the method and particularly, various kinds of methods concerning in the operation using a gas-liquid boundary surface.;SOLUTION: In the microchannel structure in which at least two channels are brought into contact with each other in parallel in an optional region to form a contact part and the boundary of a fluid flowing in each channel is formed in the contact part, the method is for chemically modifying only one channel. A modifying reagent-containing solution is introduced into the 1st channel 21 to be chemically modified and is left standing in a state that the liquid pressure of the modifying reagent in the 1st channel 21 and the atmospheric pressure in a 2nd channel 22 being in contact with the 1st channel 21 in parallel to form the contact part and chemically unmodified are kept equivalent and next, the excess modifying reagent containing solution is discharged from the 1st channel by pressurizing the 2nd channel 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
