PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repairing material for wall bricks of a carbonization chamber of a coke oven with which the generation of an incomplete combustion due to a leakage of coke gas to a combustion chamber can be prevented for a long period of time, by improving the properties of material for repairing a damage such as a breakage of joints and a crack of the wall of the carbonization chamber.;SOLUTION: When repairing a damage such as a breakage of joints and a crack generated in the wall bricks of the carbonization chamber of the coke oven, a repairing material comprising a composition which generates a liquid phase at the wall surface temperature of the carbonization chamber of the coke oven at the repairing time, is used as a repairing material 21 used for repairing the wall bricks of the carbonization chamber of a coke oven into which the repairing material is blown while maintaining the inside of the carbonization chamber under a pressure higher than the pressure of the combustion chamber adjacent to the carbonization chamber. As this composition, a mixture containing 10 to 50 mass% of an alkali metal carbonate (or a glass frit) in a refractory powder is preferable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
