PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support roll in a hot-dipping bath, which is capable of equalizing amount of plating deposited on the surface of a hot-dipped metal, a hot-dipping apparatus equipped with the support roll, and a production method of a hot-dipped steel sheet.;SOLUTION: The support roll 100 made of steel is used as a non-driven support roll in the hot-dipping apparatus 200 and has a body 11 and a shank 10. The support roll 100 satisfies relation (1): 0.6×d2≤d11.0×d2 and relation (2): 0.15×D1≤D2≤0.3×D1, wherein d1 is an apparent density of the entire support roll 100, d2 is a density of a molten metal 5, D1 is an outside diameter of the body 11 and D2 is an outside diameter of the shank 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
