PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily inspecting the kind of causative microbial strain in a milk cow suffering from mastitis by which the specification of the kind of the infected microbial strain can be simply, rapidly and accurately inspected by anyone at anywhere at anytime, to enable a proper antibiotic to be administered early, the sequelae caused by the mastitis to be reduced as possible, and the economic loss to be decreased.;SOLUTION: The method for readily inspecting the kind of the causative microbial strain in the milk cow suffering from the mastitis comprises collecting a prescribed amount of specimen milk 1 in an inspection container 2, adding a prescribed amount of fine activated carbon 3 into the inspection container 2, shaking the resultant inspection container 2 to bring the fine activated carbon 3 into contact with the specimen milk 1, standing the container 2 still to precipitate the fine activated carbon 3, inclining the container 2 to discard the unnecessary specimen milk 1 so that the fine activated carbon may remain, setting a testing paper sheet 4 in the inspection container 2, heating the bottom part of the inspection container 2 by a portable heater 7 to evaporate the condensed analyte adsorbed on the fine activated carbon 3 to react the vapor with an indole testing paper 5 in the testing paper 4, and judging the presence or absence of the indole in the specimen milk 1 by observing the reaction of the indole testing paper 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
