PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an X-ray CT apparatus whose spatial resolution of a reconstruction image is not lowered by a decrease of FOV and projection data collection equipment for the X-ray CT.;SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus comprises: a multi-channel X-ray detector (24) in which the pitch of the channel of a part corresponding to an FOV, smaller one of two sizes of FOVs, is 1/n (n is an integer of two or bigger) of the pitch of the channel of the other part; and a signal collection circuit (26) that collects detection signals in the part corresponding to the smaller FOV of the X-ray detector by single channel when taking an image in the smaller FOV, detection signals in the part corresponding to the smaller FOV of the X-ray detector by n channels next to each other when capturing an image in the bigger FOV, and detection signals in the other part by single channel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
