PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating coating film excellent in sliding properties including abrasion resistance, scorching resistance and tendency to lower coefficient of friction even if used under severe sliding conditions. PSOLUTION: The lubricating coating film comprises a solid lubricant and a binder holding the solid lubricant on the surface of a base. The binder consists of a composite material a binder resin and silicon nitride microparticles( reinforcing particles ) dispersed in the binder resin. The amount of the solid lubricant is 30-120 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. of the binder resin. Since a large quantity of the solid lubricant is stably held by the robust binder, this lubricating coating film is excellent in abrasion resistance as well as scorching resistance and tendency to lower coefficient of friction.
