METHOD FOR PREVENTING DETERIORATION OF VISUAL CONFIRMABILITY OF EXISTING TRAFFIC SAFETY FACILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the deterioration of the visual confirmability of traffic safety facilities to prevent a traffic accident beforehand by removing stains on the stainless steel-made mirror-finished surface plate of an existing curved mirror and on the surface of a painted guardrail and its support and then forming a coating film having excellent stain removing properties thereon.;SOLUTION: This method for preventing the deterioration of the visual confirmability of traffic safety facilities to prevent the traffic accident beforehand comprises: a step to remove stains on the stainless steel-made mirror-finished surface plate of the existing curved mirror and on the surface of the painted guardrail and its support, which are the traffic safety facilities; and a step to form the coating film which exhibits hydrophilicity and the stain self-removing properties when dried by applying a solution consisting of methyl silicate, water, a solvent and a catalyst.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
