PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically generate efficient system configurations. PSOLUTION: Devices for realizing functions shown by logical system conditions are associated with the respective logical system conditions by a system layout generating means 3, and system layouts 4a, 4b, 4c and so on showing the association of the devices with all the logical system conditions are generated. Then, the system layouts 4a, 4b, 4c and so on generated by the system layout generating means 3 are evaluated according to a preliminarily designated evaluation criterion by an evaluating means 5, and the most highly evaluated system layout 6 is stored in a system layout storing means 7 as a design result.
