PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture photographing apparatus, a moving picture list display method, and a moving picture list display program whereby contents of moving pictures can easily be confirmed even when the moving picture photographing apparatus is not provided with processing capability as that of a special purpose machine.;SOLUTION: A main display section 102 displays thumbnails of moving pictures as a list. When a user selects one of the thumbnails, an image processing control section 134 reproduces the moving picture corresponding to the thumbnail in the size of the thumbnail at a display position of the thumbnail while selection is continued. When the reproduction time of the moving picture corresponding to the thumbnail is longer than a prescribed reproduction time, the moving picture reproduction time is divided and a prescribed part of the moving picture is continuously reproduced by each second resulting from the time division. Further, in the case of creating the thumbnails, when a fade effect is imparted to the moving picture, the thumbnail is created by using frames after the end of the fade effect.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
