PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a discharge amount of CO2 while inhibiting decrease of efficiency of an electric power plant.;SOLUTION: This coal gasfication power plant 100 has a coal gasification furnace 10 for gasifying coal to produce a combustion gas, a COS converter 20, a CO shift unit 30, an H2S/CO2 recovery unit 40, and a gas turbine 50 to which a generator 60 is connected. The COS in a product gas formed in the coal gasification furnace 10 is converted to H2S by the COS converter 20. The CO present in the product gas after the COS conversion is converted to CO2 by the CO shift unit 30. This CO2 is recovered together with the H2S present in the product gas by the H2S/CO2 recovery unit 40 using an amine solution.
