PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the rental of bicycles at a bicycle parking lot, thus eliminating the need for a person in charge of the bicycle parking lot to intervene.;SOLUTION: This system includes: a means for causing the requirements for the use of a bicycle parked in the bicycle parking lot to be registered into a bicycle parking lot server 3 from an owner's terminal 1; a means for sending desired bicycle rental requirements from a borrower's terminal 4 to the bicycle parking lot server 3; a means for letting the bicycle parking lot server 3 collate the desired rental requirements with the requirements for the use, and, if the requirements for the use that meet the desired rental requirements have been registered, then sending an identification number for unlocking a bicycle attachment 2 to the borrower's terminal 4; a means for allowing automatic unlocking by sending the identification number from the borrower's terminal 4 to the bicycle attachment 2; a means for sending drop-off information from the borrower's terminal 4 to the bicycle attachment 2 when the borrower is to drop off the bicycle and for letting the bicycle attachment 2 obtain and send position information to the bicycle parking lot server 3; and a means for letting the bicycle parking lot server 3 send the drop-off position information to a carrier's terminal 5 to request that the bicycle be conveyed to the bicycle parking lot.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
