PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the measurement for the bearing capacity of a foundation pile with high accuracy, without requiring provision of particular working and a large apparatus to the foundation pile.;SOLUTION: A measurement device 1 is constituted of a hammer 2 with accelerometers 3, 3 installed thereon, and an operation processing device 4 where the signals from the accelerometers 3, 3 are input and the analyzing process based on these signals is done. By using the measurement device 1, a blow is dealt to the head of the foundation pile 5 in each case that the initial collision speed of the hammer 2 is varied, and the bearing capacity of the foundation pile 5 is determined by the analyzing process, based on the acceleration measured by the accelerometers 3, 3. The analyzing process arranges the relation between the static resistance force Fs of the foundation pile 5 and an initial velocity Vo when the hammer 2 collides with the foundation pile 5 for each case the initial collision speed of the hammer 2 is varied, and then determines the bearing capacity of the foundation pile 5 with a transition point or a value close to the point that a proportionality relationship between the static resistance force Fs of the foundation pile 5 and the initial speed V0 varies.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
