PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemiluminescence method optimum to the chemiluminescence of a 1,2-dioxetane derivative having a furan ring, and a chemiluminescent composition also usable as a substrate reagent for enzyme immunoassay, excellent in heat stability and enabling high sensitivity measurement.;SOLUTION: In the chemiluminescence method, a cationic surfactant and a fluorescent substance are allowed to coexist when the 1,2-dioxetane derivative [representative compound: sodium salt of 5-t-butyl-4,4-dimethyl-1-(3'-phosphoryloxy)phenyl-2,6,7-trioxabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane] represented by the formula 1 is subjected to chemiluminescence by an activator.
