PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding set comprising a power supply and an inverter connected to the power supply.;SOLUTION: An inverter (28) has at least one switching leg part (30), which comprises a switch (32) and an output terminal (38), arranged in series. The power supply further has a control circuit (38) which controls the switch by transmitting turn-off and turn-on commands, and a transformer (40) connected to a rectifier (44) for sending an output DC voltage. The power supply has a detection circuit (50) for detecting the voltage at the terminal of switches of the inverter, and a pilot circuit (60) so designed as to receive a control signal (Sc) and a voltage signal (St) and to transmit pilot signal (Sp) to the switches, that corresponds to the turn-on command, when the control signal (Sc) corresponds to the turn-on command and when the voltage between power supply electrodes is substantially zero.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
