PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate an appropriate quantity of inventory on the basis of forecast information. PSOLUTION: A conversion factor which is a ratio of a required quantity included in past forecast information and a corresponding past orders received record is calculated (S1 and S2), a standard deviation of a plurality of conversion factors with mutually equal forecast LTs is calculated (S3), a forecast LT with a value (s/Ave)acquired on the basis of the standard deviation of the conversion factors not exceeding a threshold is determined as an effective forecast LT (S4 and S5), an order predicted value is calculated by multiplying a required quantity corresponding to the effective forecast LT by a corresponding conversion factor (S6), a margin is calculated by carrying out calculation using the required quantity corresponding to the effective forecast LT and a standard deviation of corresponding conversion factors (S7), and a safe quantity of inventory is calculated by adding the order predicted quantity and the corresponding margin (S8).
